As a teenager, I transferred to a different high school but a few of my classmates were not excited about me being there. Some of them constantly made “smart” comments; for a few days I was being bullied and I did not know how to react since I was a new student.
So, how can I deal with a bully? A bully is an insecure person that lacks the ability to build meaningful connections with others. Often they are afraid to be seen as weak or understanding. The best way to deal with a bully is to first stand strong and put a stop, then show that you care about them… At school, after a few days of harassment, I realized that I had to put a stop to it: one punch at a time. Weeks later, we became great friends; friends for life. Keep in mind: Bullying is a cry for attention!
